WSP is currently initiating a search for an entry level Civil Engineer for our Nashville, TN office.

The successful candidate will, under close supervision, perform civil/highway tasks in support of a project's design, including development of horizontal and vertical alignments, grading, drainage, storm water management, right-of-way, earthwork modeling, quantity calculations, construction cost estimation, specifications and utility relocation schemes. The candidate will be contributing to project design, including development of roadway layout, grading, drainage, roadway sections, earthwork, quantity calculation and utility relocation themes.


* Support civil/transportation assignments
* Perform designs using Microstation, Geopak and/or AutoCAD
* Possess ability to handle a wide array of projects and multiple assignments
* Work with team members to communicate effectively through writing and speaking
* Assists more experience engineers in broader engineering activities
* Performs routine engineering functions
* Prepares basic sketches and performs calculations in support of broader engineer activities
* Gathers and records information to be used for writing specifications
* Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

* BS in Civil Engineering

* Proficiencies and relevant experience in Excel and Microsoft Office applications.

* Ability to immediately work in the United States
* Local candidates

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with Microstation and Geopak.

* Previous intern experience in A/E industry.
