Business Development Representative

A Business Development Representative (BDR) for Duck Creek will be a motivated sales professional working in a telesales/lead generation capacity in support of our Enterprise Sales Team. This position lays the foundation for a successful high-tech sales career. In addition to the list of responsibilities below, this person will work closely and collaboratively with the field sales team and marketing to qualify leads and develop and implement appropriate prospect communication plans as follows:

* Work in partnership with sales management, fields sales and marketing to provide lead generation and pipeline development support


* Provide ongoing support to enterprise sales team with a focus on identifying business opportunities within existing and potential customers.


* Qualify, develop and nurture marketing and sales leads


* Assist sales in follow-up to marketing campaigns and initiatives via outreach correspondence, allowing additional relationship development with prospects and clients


* Conduct research on clients or prospects in order to provide relevant data to externally facing sales staff



Basic Qualifications:

* A Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years' experience


* Self-motivated with the ability to operate independently and the strong desire to work as a member of a team


* Excellent oral and written communication skills


* The technical aptitude to master SalesForce.com


* Prospecting and cold calling skills a plus


* Experience in lead generation in the high-tech software industry a plus


* Ability to quickly understand and demonstrate technology and business value proposition


* The ability to deal with objections



Responsibilities:

* Generate qualified sales leads through call-out campaigns


* Conduct prospecting and follow-up for qualified marketing leads


* Work closely and collaboratively with the field sales team to develop and implement appropriate prospect communication plans


* Build relationships with your Inside and Field Sales counterparts


* Continue to build on your core skills and product/Insurance Industry knowledge


* Strong time management, organizational and decision-making skills


* Attention to detail


* Goal-oriented, passionate, high-energy professional
