Summary Job Description:

The Branch Manager oversees/directs the overall performance of the retail banking center, including attracting, expanding, and retaining customer relationships and for overall customer profitability. Activities include making outside calls to existing clients and prospects, reinforce and recognize achievements; build the Sales & Service team; utilize resources; expand and retain customers and meeting branch goals. May also function as a Personal Banker and/or Teller as needed to support branch personnel.

Recruits, hires, assigns jobs, promotes employees, sets goals for employees, conducts performance appraisals, makes salary decisions, counsels, disciplines, and terminates employees or makes recommendations on these issues. Maintains communications between the branch and management through regular operational reports and attending staff meetings and Branch Manager's meetings.

May be required to work weekend and/or extended hours. Regular, reliable attendance is crucial to our success.

Responsible for maintaining prescribed security controls to protect against criminal or fraudulent activity and unnecessary risk or exposure.

Represents the bank in business development efforts, and at civic and community functions. The applicant should be service-oriented, professional, friendly, and enjoy our fast-paced atmosphere.


Required Skills/Experience

* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to supervise others
* Ability to work with little direct supervision
* Strong communication skills, including the ability to write clear and concise correspondence
* Ability to manage multiple tasks
* Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

Desired Skills/Assets

* A college degree is preferred, but not required
* Three or more years of banking experience or equivalent experience preferred
* Prior supervisory/management experience preferred

A High School Diploma or GED is required.
