Document / Records Management Technician

Job Description:

* File, retrieve, and copy case file materials; create witness binders; prepare deposition and trial exhibits
* Enter data on-line to case files and other databases
* Proofread, edit, correct OCR'd text files
* Retrieve documents from microfilm and digital image media
* Help number, label, assemble documents
* Fill out log sheets and report on task progress
* Perform quality control on the work of peers
* Prepare documents for image scanning
* Perform other document collection related activities, including document screening, and labeling of files to be scanned
* Perform simple database searches
* Track invoices and payments, routes invoices and supporting documentation
* Respond to questions from multiple vendors and other government agencies
* Prepare reports and perform other management tasks
* Response to FOIA requests for information

Experience / Expertise:

* One or more years in the field of document management
* Litigation support experience valued
* Experience using Microsoft Office
* Experience in accounting and accounts payable/receivable is desired
* Ability to perform detailed work consistently, accurately, and under pressure
* Must be able to read and follow instructions
* Must take the initiative to ask questions when necessary to complete tasks correctly
* Must have typing/keyboarding skills and good communication skills
* Must be knowledgeable user of the Government's office and network environment, including but not limited to, word processing, database, spreadsheet, imaging, and telecommunications systems
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a NACI clearance

Education

* Undergraduate degree preferred
