Accounting Assistant

Position Overview

The Accounting Assistant will assist in Accounting tasks as assigned by the VP, Controller with an emphasis on Accounts Payable. The position requires a highly conscientious, reliable professional who will be discreet with sensitive information and has adherence to deadlines and attention to detail.

Reporting Relationship

This role reports directly to the VP, Controller

Major Areas of Responsibility

Finance and Accounting

* Assist in the preparation of bank reporting, including monthly, quarterly and annual requirements.
* Record wire transfers and other online bank activity
* Prepare biweekly construction spend analysis
* Assist in purchasing process for other locations
* Assist with charitable foundation administration
* Complete emergency payments needed, entering invoices, printing and sending payments
* Other general accounting tasks as required with a focus on accounts payable.
* Assist set-up of debit cards and payment apps and reconciliation of accounts
* Assist with insurance administration
* Other projects as needed

Location and Travel

* The position is based in Chelmsford, MA
* Travel is estimated to be less than 10% of the time
