Position Summary

The Assistant GeneralManager is responsible for providing leadership throughout all divisions of thehotel. The AGM is the "MasterRecruiter" of the property and leads all efforts in recruitment, hiring, andtraining. The AGM is considered the"coach" of the property and must be able to motivate and inspire team membersto provide outstanding guest services.

Responsibilities

* Recruiting and HumanResources Management
* Responsiblefor full-cycle staffing, including recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding forall hotel departments; providing orientation for all new employees.


* Monitoringand effectively forecasting hotel's employee staffing needs


* Adheringto all recruitment and hiring guidelines


* Completingwork schedules for front office department staff in a timely and effectivemanner


* Reviewingand approving employees' timecards


* Enforcingand leading all training and development efforts throughout the hotel


* Embracing,enforcing, and promoting the QTR culture to all departments and employees


* Embracingand demonstrating the core ideology daily


* Maintaininga positive work environment. Treatingemployees fairly, consistently, and with respect. Recognizing and rewarding excellentperformance. Encouraging and promotingteamwork. Setting a positive example forall subordinates.


* Conductingand/or participating in regular employee meetings


* Effectivelydelegating projects and duties as needed




* Hotel Operations
* Knowledgeof and ability to complete all hotel reports


* Hasa basic operational knowledge of all departments


* Enforcingall safety policies in the hotel and promoting safety through safety committeemeetings regularly


* Hasa strong knowledge of brand standards and programs


* Makingsound decisions and identifying problems and offering solutions


* Demonstratingknowledge of O&R and brand success plans


* Ensuringthe follow through of O&R


* Maintainingdaily processes and checklists


* Understandingand completing all month end requirements


* Ensuringthe property is prepared at all times for the quality assurance audit and hasfull knowledge of all standards for the brand




* Budget/FinancialManagement
* Operatingefficiently under budgetary guidelines


* Producingfinancial reports accurately and on a timely basis as needed


* Monitoringand ensuring all cash control procedures are in place




* Customer Service
* Iscommitted to making every guest happy. Listeningand responding promptly to guest complaints and maintaining customer service asa driving philosophy of the property


* Providinginformation to guests about hotel policies, services, and amenities


* Respondingto requests from guests for assistance and information about the local area(e.g. directions, restaurants,attractions, etc.)




* Community Relations
* Maintainingactive involvement in community and industry organizations


* Participatingin community activities, employee activities, and guest events


* Maintainingcommunication with competitive hotels, Convention and Visitor Bureau, andChamber of Commerce




* Accounts Receivableand Accounts Payable
* Completingall accounting procedures for the property


* ManagingA/R and A/P appropriately


* Organizingall payables in a timely and effective manner





Requirements

* Priorsupervisory experience is required - prior hospitality experience is stronglypreferred


* Priortraining, recruiting, and onboarding experience is preferred


* Stronginitiative and work ethic


* Punctual, reliable, and regular attendance

* Strongmultitasking and organizational skills
