Job Description

This posting is for a part time temporary Accounting Assistant in Pearl River, NY. This role has a guarantee of 20 hours a week for a period of 2-3 months but could possibly extend. The work schedule will be Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The rate of pay for this position is $17.00 - $19.00 per hour depending on experience. Duties & Responsibilities Include:

* Processing Sales Orders: matching sales order information to the information on the hard copy purchase order; verifying pricing (against price sheet), payment terms, shipping/billing address, etc.
* Process Purchase Orders: ensuring there is backup documentation and appropriate signatures. Entering purchase order in system and scanning and uploading to share drive.
* Process credit memos: verify amount of cylinders that were shipped out or returned and ensuring that duplicate credits are not sent.
* Scanning, copying, uploading and filing of various documents.
* Any additional duties as assigned in the accounts receivable department.
* This is a fast paced role with a high volume of work so all candidates should be comfortable in this type of setting.

Experience Required:

1 2 years of administrative experience in an office setting required. Experience with purchase orders and sales orders preferred.
