Job Description

Job Title: Payroll Administrator

Department: Finance

Job Reports To: VP, Compensation Manager

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be a seasoned payroll administrator who is motivated and engaged, and will be primarily responsible for ensuring the accurate processing of global payroll and employee data maintenance. Payroll Administrator should have excellent problem solving/judgment skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

* Interface with ADP to process employee changes as instructed by Human Resources and perform all steps necessary to update the payroll files in preparation of wage payments
* Processing of off-cycle payrolls for RSU deliveries as needed
* Coordinate with Accounts Payable to complete timely and accurate expense reimbursements through the payroll process
* Process wholesaler commission payments on a monthly/quarterly basis
* Collect and process overtime data for Non-exempt employees
* Prepare journal entries at a cost center level to capture payroll expenses and bank account transactions relating to payroll activities and employee withholdings
* Interface with external benefit providers to transmit payroll data on a semi-monthly basis
* Coordinate, review and approve employee direct deposit, tax withholding and tax jurisdiction changes
* Administer changes to retirement plan and employee stock purchase plan elections
* Liaise with foreign payroll providers to complete monthly payments as scheduled
* Coordinate wire transfers for payroll funding
* Maintain employee files and update as necessary
* Catalog new hire offer letters, termination agreements, retirement agreements, etc. for compensation forecasting needs
* Reconciliation of compensation related general ledger accounts

Minimum Requirements:

* Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in payroll position, preferably in the financial services industry
* Strong understanding of multi-state withholding/unemployment tax law
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
* Experience with ADP WorkforceNow
* Familiarity with Stock Plan Administration
* Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
* Certified Payroll Professional preferred
