Test & Evaluation Advanced Missile Signature Center Analyst - TMAS RANGE

QuantiTech is currently seeking a Missile Signature Analyst to support our customer at Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC)

The incumbent will support the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC) Advanced Missile Signature Center (AMSC) in program execution for multiple aircraft survivability projects at Arnold AFB, TN. The incumbent provides technical support in characterization and assessment of threats to US defense systems and forces. Work scope encompasses measured data and threat simulations, and development and/or application of enhanced data exploitation tools.

Duties will include, but not limited to:

* Work with nominal supervision in performing engineering analysis and modeling functions on measured electro-optic/infrared (EO/IR) missile plume and hardbody signature data.
* Perform data extraction, metadata consolidation, and data processing/analysis tasks as assigned to support customer and user deliverables and requests.
* Use and support development of government or commercial toolsets to process and analyze data.
* Prepare inputs, based on underlying physics, to modeling and simulation programs for missile or other systems, and exercise the models to predict signatures.
* Perform comparative analyses of simulation results.
* Prepare documentation as appropriate to record data processing, analysis, and software usage and/or adaptation.
* Train for and intermittently support deployments by the AMSC signature measurement team when test schedules simultaneously require teams at different test sites. Possible deployment to Continental US (CONUS) and outside CONUS test ranges for one to 3 weeks.
* Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

* S. degree in physics or engineering from an accredited school
* Advanced degree or additional graduate-level coursework in physics or engineering is a plus.
* Chemistry, fluid dynamics, atmospheric physics background or coursework is a plus.
* Proficiency with Matlab and/or C++ is desired.
* Familiarity with a scripting language (python, perl, ruby) is a plus.
* FORTRAN experience is a plus.
* Must be able to learn and effectively use a variety of government and in-house simulation codes and analysis tools (example - JANNAF codes).
* Must be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing with senior staff and peers.
* Travel is anticipated to support and participate in briefings and reviews. Occasional travel to observe testing activities is also possible and/or to intermittently participate as a test team member at test ranges.
* Work is timely, efficient and of acceptable quality. Completed work meets project/program objectives.
* Personal and organizational interactions exhibit and foster cooperation and teamwork, enhance customer relations, and actively promote rapport with customers
* Engineering intern experience and/or experience in test or aerospace/industrial setting is desired.
* Utilizes resources effectively to accomplish mission.
* Must have or be able to obtain an active and transferrable DoD security clearance with current investigation at the required level. Must be able to maintain the required clearance.....
* Focused adherence to safety and security requirements in an office-based environment.

Level 1 positions: Requires a Bachelor's degree in the applicable discipline.

Level 2 positions: Requires up to 3 years of experience and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in the applicable discipline.

Level 3 positions: Requires 3 to 10 years of experience and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in the applicable discipline.

Level 4 positions: Requires over 10 years of experience and a Master's degree in the applicable discipline.

Qualification Substitutions:

* Bachelor's Degree - 6 years' work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree
* Associate's Degree plus 4 years work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree
* Master's Degree - 12 years' work experience may be substituted for a Master's Degree
* Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years work experience may be substituted for a Master's Degree
* Doctorate's Degree - 20 years' work experience may be substituted for a Doctorate's Degree
* Bachelor's Degree plus 16 years' work experience, or a Master's Degree plus 12 years' work experience may be substituted for a Doctorate's Degree
