Job Description

Non-profit organization seeking accounting manager with experience in NYS grant vouchering (100% back-up) who has managed multiple grants and understands grant allocation. Additional experience with accounts payable and payroll processing is required. Attention to detail also required. Your application MUST include a brief cover letter.

BASIC FUNCTION

Assists the Finance Department in handling basic accounting tasks, G/L reconciliations, A/P and Payroll.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

* Responsible for Accounts Payable. Process purchase orders and key invoices into Accounts Payable system. Also print checks under the supervision of the Director of Finance.
* Process semi-monthly payroll.
* Creates employee time and effort reports for staff according to funding source allocation.
* Conducts data entry to ensure grant expenses are in accordance with budgets.
* Performs administrative functions as needed including typing, filing, photocopying and other general office duties.
* Prepares supporting documentation and a listing in excel of invoices and payroll reports required for reporting to Local, State and Federal funded contracts.
* Assists the Director of Finance and Controller as needed and completes special projects as assigned.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP

Reports to the Director of Finance

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Associate's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
* 2-3 years Accounts Payable experience
* 2-3 years Payroll Processing (Accudata is a plus)
* Not-for-profit experience
* Basic Excel and Microsoft Office skills
* Data base management
* Excellent organizational and business skills
* Attention to detail
* Knowledge of Fund-EZ is preferred.
