Job Description

EQ Engineers LLC, a subsidiary of Environmental Quality Management, Inc., is looking for a Civil/Structural Engineer to help support our Civil/Structural Engineering Department. EQ Engineers is a dynamic engineering company that provides Mechanical, Electrical and Civil/Structural engineering services to heavy industrial, commercial and government entities.

The ideal candidate will participate in all project phases, responsible for civil and structural design and drafting for project development, detailed design, construction documents and as-built drawings. The position requires a thorough understanding of AutoCAD, with a background in creating drawings of structural and civil site designs for light and heavy industry. Task breakdown by discipline: 90% Structural, 10% Civil. Initial task breakdown by responsibility: 80% Designer, 20% Engineering.

Minimum Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related program qualified for NCEES licensing of Professional Engineers
* PE license, or EIT Certification with intention to pursue to PE licensing
* Ability to obtain access to client facilities that require a background check
* Five or more years of AutoCAD experience
* Three or more years of structural and civil design experience
* Ability to perform site assessments and audits
* Ability to climb a ladder
* Ability to lift 25 lbs
* Ability to drive; must possess valid driver's license
* Strong communications skills, verbal and written
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
* Requires approximately 10% travel, typically local.

Additional desired qualifications

* Knowledge of State and Federal Building standards and Codes
* Proficient with 3D modeling in programs such as AutoCAD, REVIT, SketchUp, Inventor, etc.
* Three or more years in an engineering consulting environment serving light or heavy industry
