IMPAQ International is seeking a temporary, part time Research + Communications Intern to support our Corporate Communications projects. Work will be based on site at our Columbia, MD office and will range between 15 and 20 hours per week on an as needed basis. It is an immediate opening.

Responsibilities

* Researching and documenting past company work
* Writing page-long project descriptions
* Updating content on Drupal based website
* Researching and writing social media posts
* Scheduling social media updates in Hootsuite
* Providing administrative support around conferences and events
* Other research and writing tasks as needed

Qualifications

Education

* Must currently be enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program preferably in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, or in Public Policy, Health Policy, Economics, International Development, or closely related fields

Knowledge, Experience & Skills

* Strong writing and editing skills required
* Research experience required
* Outstanding organizational skills
* Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
* Able to learn quickly, take direction and work independently
