Job Description

To perform statistical data analysis and create predictive models in support of medical education at UAB. To collect and analyze data to generate reports. To communicate and consult on admissions and enrollment management data to support and enhance informed decision-making and problem-solving. To support strategic planning initiatives, policy development, and program assessment by providing qualitative analyses of data to enhance the admissions strategy, training programs and the learning environment for medical education at UAB.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Performs advanced statistical analysis of data, creates predictive models and interprets results using appropriate statistical and/or business intelligence software.

2. Acquires, organizes, develops and maintains longitudinal data sets, verifying accuracy and consistency over time. Maintain data security and privacy to ensure proper handling and use of data.

3. Consults with internal constituencies, including undergraduate and graduate medical education leadership and academic success program leadership, to determine and clarify data needs and research requirements.

4. Develops reports and presentations for internal and external audiences, including School of Medicine senior leadership as well as the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). Communicates technical information in oral, written and graphic form to individuals with varying technical backgrounds.

5. Provides data support for accreditation processes, i.e, LCME, SACS, etc.

6. Performs other duties as assigned.

(Annual Salary: $52,228.80 - $82,867.20)

Master's degree in math, business, statistics or a related field and three (3) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
