With increasing scrutiny on healthcare fraud and abuse, the demand for our services has never been higher. HAIs staff is comprised of backgrounds that include law, healthcare finance and consulting, physician practice management, and valuation consulting. HAI is an employee-owned company through the creation of an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). As our firm is rapidly expanding, we are searching for energetic, talented individuals with the skills and desire to advance in the dynamic and rapidly evolving healthcare valuation consulting sector.

Position(s) Available:

We are looking for Valuation Analysts for our Denver office. An Analyst will assist in the development of both simple and complex valuations of business enterprises and physician compensation arrangements. HealthCare Appraisers is looking for students graduating in 2018 as the position has a start date of June 2018.

Key Qualifications:

Graduated by June of 2018 with high marks (3.3 GPA and above) from a four-year accredited university, with a concentration in finance, accounting, healthcare administration, mathematics, statistics, or economics;

Previous finance, accounting, or economics work experience is preferred (including internship and/or research assistant experience);

Excellent written and oral communication skills;

Proficient using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook;

Experience analyzing financial statements and building financial models in Microsoft Excel, and completion of a course focusing on financial or business valuation modeling is desired;

Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment; and

Analytical and strategic thinker, with advanced math skills, and the demonstrated ability to gather data and compile reports that provide meaningful and logical business conclusions.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide general analytical assistance on various valuation projects involving physician practices, ambulatory surgery centers, and other healthcare entities;

Assist in the gathering, organizing, summarizing and analyzing of financial and operational data from healthcare entities;

Prepare income statement and balance sheet comparisons for multiple time periods by sourcing information from tax returns, financial statements, and other sources;

Draft reports and proposals, with particular attention to describing and summarizing project objectives, methodologies, analyses and conclusions.
