Job Function: Electrical Engineering (40000044)

Tools Software Engineer - Electronics and Electrical Systems - Global Product Organization.

Job Responsibilities:

* Model, develop and validate tools using Visual C#.
* Develop features in tools which interact with the electronics in the appliances (Configure /Monitor)
* Support other teams using the tools
* Manage priorities of the features to meet user's needs
* Manage part of the tools roadmap related to the specific domain
* Document software design per Whirlpool documentation process

Function Overview:

Will develop project plans including scope, execution and validation of software for PC Tools.

Minimum Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
* Minimum of one year Software experience (can include internships and co-ops)
* Knowledge in Object Oriented Programming.
* Knowledge in .net and Visual C# for development of tools.
* Programming languages: C++, Visual C#, Java
* General Knowledge: Computer Science, Modeling in UML, Object Oriented Programming, Multi threading systems, Communication protocol, Data base knowledge, Static Analysis of the code, Software Quality Assurance concepts.
* Some exposition to embedded systems, 32-bit micro-controllers and its constraints.
* Agile Software Development (SCRUM process)
* Project assessment and risk management skills
* Experience managing projects in stage-gate process
* Ability to work cross functionally and globally
* Effective communication and negotiating skills

Preferred Requirements:

* Desireable 3+ years experience
