Job Description

Do you enjoy design and software development processes? Does the idea of developing something new and improving it to make it better and more efficient intrigue you? As a Technical Intern in software engineering at IGT, you will get the opportunity to contribute to improving, testing, developing and analyzing software solutions and processes in order to improve our overall end result solutions. You will also interact with a cross functional team throughout the organization and contribute to the overall company's quality objectives.

Here's what a day in the life of a Software Engineer Intern looks like...

* Assist with the Analysis, Design, Development, Testing and Documentation of software solutions.
* Development of new software as required by the company.
* Development of improvements to our existing solutions as required by the company.
* Assist with support of existing software solutions. First Year Goals

Under the guidance of mentor software engineers and/or department management, by the end of the year it is expected that the proper candidate will be able to accomplish the following:

* Able to test and analyze software solutions
* Contribute to the development of new software required by the company.
* Contribute to improving existing solutions. Required Qualifications
* Currently studying for a degree in Software Engineering / Computer Science
* Exposure to programming languages (C#, VB, etc.)
* Exposure to web frameworks (JavaScript, PHP, etc.)
* Exposure to database development (MS SQL, MySQL, etc.)
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team

Special requirements needed Security Investigation

Able to stand an eight hour shift

Must be at least 18 years of age
