Job Description

To be responsible for performing advanced statistical data analysis, create predictive models, and collect and analyze data to generate reports in support of the University's strategic goals. To act as a liaison with academic units and administrative departments as the single point of contact for data and analysis needed to support business decisions. To maintain the accuracy and integrity of Institutional data (student and faculty) and ensure timely reporting for Federal, State, and other mandatory and voluntary requirements.

The Institutional Research Analyst I vacancy is an entry level position.

Essential job functions at this level include:

* Maintains the accuracy and integrity of Institutional data (student and faculty) and ensures timely reporting for Federal, State, and other mandatory and voluntary requirements.
* Collaborates with internal and external campus constituents to collect data and provide detailed analysis to satisfy external mandatory and voluntary reporting needs.
* Acts as liaison with units, including schools & enrollment management to provide a single point of professional contact for data and analysis needs in support of business decisions. Collaborates with Business Intelligence team to provide data training for units.
* Identifies key performance indicators and assists Business Intelligence team with development of new dashboards, scorecards, and self-service reports. Produces reports and executive summaries.
* Performs advanced statistical and quantitative analyses-using SPSS, SAS, or related software-in order to identify trends, provide comparisons with peers and aspirant peers, and create predictive models to identify and support university strategic goals.

ANNUAL RATE OF PAY: $48,000.00

Bachelor's degree in Math or a related field and three (3) years of related experience required. Master's degree in Math, Statistics or a related quantitative field and one (1) year of experience acceptable substitution.

Master's Degree preferred; and candidates with knowledge of quantitative methods, familiarity with SPSS, SAS, or other statistical packages strongly encouraged to apply.

Job profile should showcase experience related to data base management, financial or statistical analysis, and/or leveraging automation to improve accuracy and timeliness in institutional reporting. Successful candidates will possess preferred work experience(s) and showcase as such on job profile for fullest consideration:

* Database management

Higher education and/or administration experience a plus.
