University of Alabama at Birmingham Career Services Implements AfterCollege Career Networks

UAB students can now tap into AfterCollege’s powerful network of jobs for opportunities relevant to their area of study.

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Jan. 20, 2010 – AfterCollege, the largest online career network for students and recent graduates, has announced the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Career Services is now using AfterCollege services. Students at the university are now able to explore and search jobs relevant to their major on the career center’s Web site at

Employers targeting students at the university can directly promote and distribute their opportunities via the AfterCollege network, giving students a unique advantage in this highly competitive job market.

“We are committed to providing students with multiple tools and resources that help them explore and launch successful careers,” said Suzanne Scott-Trammell, executive director of Career Services at UAB. “AfterCollege provided an additional tool for students and helped us position and showcase the service as an extension of our existing jobs database, DragonTrail.”

AfterCollege customized 32 UAB career networks for areas of study within the Schools of Engineering, Health Professions, Business, Education, Nursing, Public Health, and the College of Arts and Sciences. Students are asked to check back periodically for the inclusion of additional majors. Links to these opportunities can be found at
