Job Description

Responsible for assisting development engineers in all phases of product design and development. Strong written and oral communication, teamwork and organizational skills are essential.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities-Generation of design control and risk management documentation (i.e. Hazard Analysis, Design Verification Protocols and Reports)

* Evaluates and/or improves product designs under the direct supervision of assigned engineering or management personnel
* Becomes familiar with Regulatory and FDA submission paperwork in support of product development
* Becomes familiar with production routings, bills of material and quality assurance documentation for product development
* Learns to function in a business environment by supporting department goals and setting individual personal session and program goals

Expected Areas of Competence-Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio

* Time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects at once
* Attention to detail and sense of urgency associated with work ethic
* Ability to effectively work within a team to expedite completion of critical project tasks with other functional groups
* Ability to establish a process method which meets performance and quality requirements
* Familiarity with drafting standards and geometric differences and tolerancing
* Experience working with CAD design software is beneficial

Education/Experience Requirements-Must be actively enrolled in an academic program for the entire duration of the assignment.

* Pursuit of Bachelor's Degree in engineering discipline. Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering majors preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* GPA of 3.2+ preferred
