Zachry Group is currently accepting applications for Electrical Engineers for future needs.

This posting is NOT for an actual position, but is designed to build a pool of candidates who are interested in future opportunities.

This is a great opportunity to get involved with challenging projects with interesting clients and work with work with and mentor entry level engineers.


* Lead a team of electrical design engineers.

* Interface with customer, suppliers and construction throughout design and construction phase.

* Design, specify and recommend electrical systems for fossil power plants, industrial, and substation facilities.

* Perform electrical design calculations including feeder sizing, load calculations, load flow, short circuit, protective device coordination, arc flash analysis, motor starting and grounding. Experience with CDEGS, SKM PowerTools and/or ETAP preferred.

* Develop electrical specifications of electrical equipment, electrical systems, and construction methods and materials for low voltage through high voltage systems up to 345kV.

* Perform calculations and provide settings for protective relaying systems.

* Design review to assure adherence to applicable codes, standards and project requirements.

* Review of equipment quotations and submittals.

* Coordination with design / drafting and other crafts to assure a complete, coordinated design.

* Construction support, including field Engineering design, and installation compliance.

* Proposal support including development of project scopes, budgets and schedules.

* Mentoring of other engineers in the group.


Job Requirements:

* BS in electrical engineering.

* PE license is preferred.

* Minimum of 10 years total related experience.

* Occasional travel to project sites for field support and design meetings.

* Strong oral and written communication skills
