Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Perform analytical and project management functions and gain professional experience and exposure in the Procurement Department. Assist in driving Procurement process improvement strategies to maximize savings and streamline operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Under the guidance of Procurement Management, this role will perform the following tasks:
* Perform high level and detailed analyses of Procurement data, and then make recommendations based on the results, and effectively communicate both the results and the recommendations.
* Partner with both Procurement and other internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement.
* Lead Procurement process improvement efforts, including project management, process design, development, implementation, documentation, communications, and change management.
* Measure/monitor the results of strategic and tactical Procurement process improvements, and then report them to senior management.
* Design and deliver a final presentation providing a project overview and solution implementation results to executive management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

* Grade point average 3.0 or better.
* Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Exceptional customer service attitude and skills.
* Demonstrated organizational and scheduling skills.
* Project management experience.
* Analysis experience.
* Versed in MS Excel, including the use of pivot and v-lookup functionality.
* Currently enrolled and pursuing degree in related field.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This job operates in a professional office environment indoors. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The position requires the ability to spend long hours sitting or standing while using office equipment and computers. Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing and keying. Occasional lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying 10 lbs of supplies and materials is required.
