The Lariccia School of Accounting and Finance (LSAF) in the Williamson College of Business Administration (WCBA) at Youngstown State University (YSU) invites applications for the John S. and Doris M. Andrews Endowed Chair in Accounting. We are seeking a dynamic individual who can contribute to the vitality of our accounting program. The John S. and Doris M. Andrews Chair in Accounting is a teaching, research/scholarship, and professional service position. We welcome accomplished teachers and scholars who can demonstrate leadership in the field of accounting on a national level.

The John S. and Doris M. Andrews Chair in Accounting will:

a) Teach in the undergraduate and graduate (MBA and MAcc) programs.

b) Maintain an active scholarly agenda, including but not limited to presentations and refereed journal publications.

c) Be available to speak to local, regional, and national groups.

d) Lead and/or participate in projects that further the goals of the program, School or college.

e) Maintain active involvement in the accounting profession at the national, regional and local levels.

f) Demonstrate active involvement in activities that increase the visibility of and support the goals of the of the Lariccia School of Accounting and Finance, the WCBA, and YSU.

g) Assume duties as assigned by the Director of the Lariccia School of Accounting and Finance and/or the Dean of the Williamson College of Business Administration.

The mission of the WCBA is to prepare undergraduate and graduate students to be leaders in business/organizations and society.

* Faculty scholarship that contributes to management practice, advances the discipline, and enhances the teaching-learning process.

The Williamson College of Business Administration is accredited by AACSB International. The WCBA is composed of thirty-seven full-time faculty members, along with professional academic advisors, the WCBA Center for Career Management, Center for Student Services, the Center for Nonprofit Leadership, the Williamson Center for International Business, the Entrepreneurship Center, and the YSU Small Business Development Center. YSU's Williamson College of Business Administration (WCBA) has approximately 1,200 undergraduate business majors, 160 MBA students, and 25 Master of Accountancy students.

The Lariccia School of Accounting and Finance houses the Master of Accountancy program and undergraduate majors in accounting and finance. There are three active student organizations: an award winning chapter of Beta Alpha Psi, a student chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants, and a Student Investment Fund organization that manages an investment portfolio of over $1 million. Accounting faculty teach courses that support the BSBA, MBA, and MAcc programs.

Minimum Qualifications

An earned PhD in Accounting or Business with a concentration in Accounting from an AACSB accredited school is required.

Documented excellence in teaching, research and service. Accomplishments deserving of the rank of Professor.

A track record of developing successful partnerships with

the business and professional communities.

Desired Qualifications

Business experience and professional certification preferred.
