Since 2005, Yodle has grown to 1,400+ employees, and we're not slowing down. With an unmatched combination of rapidly-developing technology, thoughtful data analysis, and expert levels of service, we make online marketing accessible to local businesses.
Everyone at Yodle plays a pivotal role in the company's overall success. Here, there's no such thing as slipping through the cracks. We've maintained our startup culture for a reason: to create an environment where you can own your ideas and run with them, no matter where you happen to fall on the org chart.
As a Summer Software Engineering Intern you will be blazing trails at a fast growing company, driving the marketing vision and execution for one of America's strongest online brands dedicated to helping small businesses (SMBs) acquire and retain customers. You will be making an impact on our economy by making a big difference for the "small guy" at scale. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team of smart, successful innovators who are passionate about solving a big problem with the help of data.
More specifically, we are looking for a Software Engineer Intern to join our software development team for approximately 12 weeks this summer. You can concentrate on using your development skills to contribute to an end-to-end platform that enables local business to derive value from the Internet and measure their return on investment. We build the full breadth of software required to make Yodle go.
Our software engineers are passionate about technology and programming; they're smart, innovative developers who move quickly and get things done. The team uses an agile development process, performs code reviews, and runs automated unit tests. Our engineers work in an open, collaborative, team-oriented environment.
They work on everything from user-interface, backend, and content management to messaging, database systems and web services. Regardless of which components you touch, we'll want you to be involved in design, coding, testing and running the systems. Our engineers solve a variety of complex and challenging business problems with cutting edge technology and are constantly innovating!
Your team might be working on core billing systems one project and a telephony solution the next. Examples of our diverse systems include a WYSIWYG web site creator, a mobile app for job scheduling, an automated search advertising campaign builder, a service discovery framework built on top of Zookeeper, an advanced queuing and syncing system for integration with partners such as Google and Bing, a developer productivity tool for quickly configuring environments, and a platform for coupon management and reputation monitoring.
