Job Description

Integrated Marketing is made up of passionate, highly skilled team members who are responsible for providing the overall marketing and branding strategy for Yamaha Corporation of America (YCA).

The Retail department is an integral part of the Integrated Marketing group. It is a rapidly growing team tasked with envisaging and delivering a truly world class omnichannel customer experience for our Yamaha customers.

The Omnichannel Retail Project Manager will be responsible for helping guide the development and execution of the Yamaha eCommerce and Omnichannel retail projects necessary to create this world class customer experience.

This role requires broad leadership in the areas of planning, scheduling, risk assessment and mitigation, coordinating, tracking and status reporting. This includes (but is not limited to) standard PM processes supporting Kanban, Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies, business process mapping, work plan development, scoping, and change management. The Project Manager will work with in house staff, cross functional teams and outsourced vendors to complete projects.

Here's What You'll Do:

* Lead and direct overall project management for all projects related to our eCommerce and Omnichannel retail ambition
* Partner with VP Retail and relevant internal stakeholders in exploring and defining the omnichannel roadmap for Yamaha Corporation of America, ensuring involvement, alignment and sign off with senior leadership
* Act as a project leader and drive a consistent, organized process including the scoping and scheduling of projects according to identified dependencies, agreed priorities and resource availability using systems/tools of record
* Act as key contact between internal departments, regional teams, partners and external vendors
* Proactively facilitate project phases, ensuring that all requirements and other project documentation and tools are complete, approved and available to all team members
* Manage and lead project plan(s), getting updates from all project members, recording risks and devising mitigation plans. Reporting any changes or concerns to management and key stakeholders
* Ensure the development, execution, tracking and reporting of projects in on time and budget and that all parties involved have a clear communication of process
* Understanding project's goals and communicating effectively with stakeholders and development team members
* Ensure that assigned resources have all they need to get the job done (e.g., the right files, the creative brief, clear deadlines, tickets accurate and detailed, etc.)
* Juggle resources, deadlines and adjust communication project schedules as needed.
* Ensure proper project close-out, including supporting documentation for easy reference if needed in the future
* Ensure time reporting accurately reflected and manage burn down of time against estimates
* Provide system and status reporting to management teams
* Perform other duties as assigned

Here's What You'll Bring to the Table:


* Undergraduate or graduate degree with at least 3 years of experience in eCommerce
* PMP certification or equivalent experience with results that prove your impact
* Understanding and familiarity with key eCommerce trends, usability concepts, and Web best practices
* A collaborative approach to your work. This role interfaces with all areas of the business, so collaboration and building partnerships is critical
* Curiosity and drive to learn. Lack of a how-to guide doesn't stop you from moving forward
* Demonstrated track record of delivering engagement and driving action with customers
* Highly organized and analytical mind with the ability to explain a vision and gain followership
* Project Management proficiency (Scheduling, Resource Planning)
* Proficient in project management web tools (ie. JIRA, Workamajig, Basecamp, Workfront, MS Project, etc.)
* Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
