Job Description


Application guidelines:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. BSN preferred. Active Rhode Island Nursing License. BLS required.

Candidates are considered for the Graduate Nurse Fellowship Program upon submission of a complete application packet. The application packet includes:

* A letter of introduction, which includes:

Your reasons for selecting Westerly Hospital as your employer of choice

A statement of how your nursing practice will align with the Hospital Vision, Mission Statement and Core Values of Westerly Hospital and the Yale New Haven Health System

* A professional resume
* Two professional letters of reference (minimum of 1 from clinical faculty).
* Documentation of the status of your Rhode Island RN License (Authorization to Sit, ATT, or copy of your current license).

Additionally: We ask that candidates either have a BSN or be matriculating in a BSN program for consideration in the Graduate Nurse Fellowship Program. If you do not have a BSN, please provide the following:

The Status of your education towards a BSN

Note: a candidate will not be offered a position in this program until an active Rhode Island Registered Nurse License is obtained.

All submissions are reviewed by Human Resources and only completed packets are forwarded to the Graduate Nurse Fellowship Program for consideration. If your application is considered for further review, you will be contacted for an in-person interview.
