GENERAL DESCRIPTION:  Through analysis of the business needs of the company and individual terminal locations create and maintain companywide pricing matrixes with the input of operations and sales in order to enhance profitable pricing structure for our customers and for the company. Conduct and review market research that supports the commercial and operational strategy.



  • Provide day-to-day pricing to the sales team and/or directly to the customers.
  • Maintain XPO pricing structure and develop pricing strategies and propose improvements based on commercial analysis of the current structure, customers and company need.
  • Ensure timely retrieval, quotation and filing of rates for internal and external customers and timely handling of bid/tender completion deadlines.
  • Proactively work to develop the best applicable rates for given corridors and accounts.
  • Review and investigate accounts that do not comply to target payouts and made recommendations and implement corrective action.
  • Communicate with customers, along with sales and operations staff, as required to resolve pricing issues.
  • Monitor competitors’ pricing structures to maintain XPO’s viability in the market places.
  • Review customer contract and bid requirements and escalate exceptions to enure legal and regulatory requirements will be met.
  • Ensure commercial agreement is documented and communicated to customer.
  • Obtain capacity commitments from network.
  • Negotiate dray rates as necessary to support an assigned request.
  • Negotiate customer specific rail rates to support bid activity.



  • Minimum Required Experience: 2-3 years relevant industry experience
  • Desirable Education/Experience: BA/BS Degree or 3-5 years relevant industry experience.



  • Analytical Skills -
    • Strong aptitude for understanding and analyzing large amounts of data from multiple sources.
    • Performs complex analysis of data, processes, policies, procedures and/or systems.
    • Produces unambiguous, comprehensive and accurate interpretations.
    • Develops insightful, value-added and actionable analyses with detailed explanations regarding drivers of those results.


  • Communication Skills - 
    • Utilizes variety of interpersonal styles and communication methods to effectively adapt to new work structures, processes, or cultures.


  • Time Management Skills -
    • Prioritizes regular workload, special tasks and concurrent projects, allocating time and resources to ensure that work is completed accurately and efficiently within established time frame.


Technical Competencies

  • Basic Computer Skills  –
    • Basic knowledge / Strong Fluency /Expert-level user of Windows applications and Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Truck+
    • Accurately inputs information into and retrieves from the computer.
    • Quickly learns and achieves proficiency in new software applications as needed.
    • Demonstrates ability to create complex formulas in MS Excel; create queries in company software applications.
