Job Summary

This position is responsible for handling all customer service issues with a focus on managing, tracking and tracing time sensitive orders. This job function includes review and follow up on the shipment boards within our operating system and timely update of those orders in the system.


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. These are the most significant job duties performed; other responsibilities or assignments not specifically mentioned may also be assigned.

  • Work directly with customers on quoting shipments, tracking freight, entering shipment and problem solving
  • Work with current vendors on quoting, booking and tracking shipments
  • Update revenue and expenses on shipments that are quoted to customer
  • Bill clients once shipment has been completed and all costs have been entered.
  • Incumbents with more experience may be called upon to mentor, train, and guide newer/less experience team members.

  • Establishes and maintains effective, collaborative work relationships both internally and externally
  • Basic Computer Skills - Basic knowledge of Windows applications and Microsoft Office programs such as MS Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint; accurately inputs information into and retrieves from the computer; quickly learns and achieves proficiency in new software applications as needed

Education and Experience

  • Minimum required education of a High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Desirable education and experience include a Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
