Job Description

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Well Intervention and Mechanical Integrity Intern for our Houston, Texas office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Assist engineers in a broad range of engineering activities
* Perform engineering analysis and calculations
* Assists with routine engineering functions related to well workovers and salt caverns
* Assist with field work
* Prepare schematics and drawings
* Write reports and other documents
* Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

* Current standing as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student actively enrolled in an ABET accredited Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Geological Engineering, or Construction Management Undergraduate or Graduate program
* Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Strong technical writing, analytical, and communication skills
* Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products
* The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.

Preferred Qualifications

* Prior internship experience in the oil and gas industry or relevant coursework
* Strong desire to learn engineering skills related to salt caverns used in underground hydrocarbon storage.
