Job Description

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Multi-modal Transportation Planning Intern for our Portland office for the Fall quarter, with the possibility of extending to the Winter quarter.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* General planning support, including data collection, research, and documentation
* Assist in geospatial, statistical, and operations data
* Contribute to the development of statewide and regional transportation plans, corridor plans, transit plans, feasibility studies, alternatives analysis, community outreach materials, planning reports, environmental documentation, and other analyses

Minimum Qualifications:

* Current standing as a Graduate student actively enrolled in a Planning, Public Policy, Economics, Environmental Studies or other relevant Graduate program
* Knowledge of planning, public policy, engineering, and/or political science
* Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills
* Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products
* The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.

Job Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

* Local candidates preferred (Please note that there is no relocation or housing assistance associated with this internship)
* Experience with GIS applications and tools
* Experience with graphic design software including the Adobe Suite
* Prior internship experience, leadership experience, or relevant coursework
