Job Description

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Civil Supervising Engineer for our Tempe, Arizona office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Prepare (or review) roadway plans, detail drawings, project specifications, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates (PS&E)
* Perform (or review) design related to transportation project, such as: roadway and intersection geometric studies, roadway and earthwork modeling, drainage design,grading, preliminary engineering, final engineering, plan production, construction staging, design and quantity calculations, estimates, report writing, and other related engineering duties.
* Prepare reports and studies on a variety of transporation related subjeccts.
* Ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment
* Provide oversight to design team for various tasks within the scope of a project including training and supervising project team
* Attend design review meetings and interact with clients
* Manage project budget and schedule; monitor quality control methods
* Support efforts in proposal development, including development of client relationships
* Represents respective projects at meetings with client, stakeholders and contractors

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

* 10 years of related experience in Transportation Design.
* Experience with ADOT and Local Municipalities associated with Transportation Projects.
* Applied knowledge and understanding with ADOT Roadway Design.
* Arizona PE Certification is required.
* Minimum of (10) year of direct experience with Microstation and Geopak or InRoads. AutoCad expierence is an acceptable alternative.
* BSCE from an accredited program is required.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with Bentley OpenRoads.
* Experience in Hydraulics and Hydrology is a plus.
* Active participation in relevant engineering societies and professional associations.
