WSP is currently initiating a search for a Construction Services Intern for our Lawrenceville office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

We have a great opportunity for a Construction Services Intern I to work on a bridge construction project in Lawrenceville, NJ. The Intern will assist the Office Engineer with responsibilities such as:

Maintaining shop drawing and RFI logs

Preparing and checking quantity calculations for pay estimates (Concrete and Rebar for foundations, pier columns, caps, etc)

Assisting with field inspections (supervised by a Senior Inspector) e.g. concrete pours, installation of foundation rebar, cover pile driving, etc.

As part of the learning experience, the Construction Services Intern I will learn to read structural plans and specifications and learn how to prepare daily construction inspection reports among other things.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Current standing as a Rising Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Graduate student actively enrolled in an ABET-accredited institution Civil Engineering or Construction Management Undergraduate or Graduate program
* Prior internship experience, leadership experience, or relevant coursework
* Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills
* Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products
* The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.
