Job Description

WSP is currently seeking an exceptional candidate for a Mechanical Intern for our Tempe, Arizona office for Summer 2019. Our Tempe office is located 10 minutes outside of Phoenix, Arizona.

This opportunity is available for a college student in good standing working towards a DEGREE in Mechanical Engineering within an accredited program. The candidate will gain experience in PROJECTS under direct supervision of the firm's leading Mechanical Engineer professionals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Utilize engineering design, computer and communications skills to assist in developing appropriate solutions for our projects
* Learn basic principles of HVAC and Plumbing system design and become familiar with Revit and engineering software applications
* Perform basic engineering design and production and construction administration services

Job Requirements

Experience Qualifications:

* CURRENT standing as a Freshmen/ Sophomore (T5 Intern I) or Junior/ Senior (T6 Intern II) student actively enrolled in an accredited Mechanical Engineering Undergraduate or Graduate Program.
* Ability to work full time
* Knowledge of AutoCad, Revit and or Solidworks
* Interest in innovative design, specifically in renewable energies and sustainable, high performing buildings
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Quality driven
* Ability to drive projects forward
* Ability to perform well under time constraint
* Candidates must be local to the Honolulu area
* The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.
