WSP USA has an immediate entry level opening for an Assistant Structural Engineer in our Charlotte, NC office.

Assignments will include:

Assisting more experienced engineers in broader engineering activities
Prepare basic sketches and performs calculations in support of broader engineer activities
Gather and record information to be used for writing specifications
Review shop drawings to assure compliance with specifications
Prepare technical studies and reports
Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements
Requirements include:

This opportunity requires a minimum of a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree from an accredited college/university in Civil Engineering with a focus in structural engineering
0-1 year of relevant engineering experience in structural engineering through internships or equivalent work (master's degree with a concentration in structural engineering will be considered as 1 yr work experience)
A working knowledge of engineering design and practices as related to bridges, retaining walls and other heavy civil structures
Relevant state of the art computer program experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Candidates must be immediately authorized to work in the US
