We have a great opportunity for a Construction Services Intern II to work on a bridge construction project in Somers Point, NJ. The Intern will assist the Office Engineer with responsibilities such as:

Maintaining shop drawing and RFI logs
Preparing and checking quantity calculations for pay estimates (Concrete and Rebar for foundations, pier columns, caps, etc)
Assisting with field inspections (supervised by a Senior Inspector) e.g. concrete pours, installation of foundation rebar, cover pile driving, etc.

As part of the learning experience, the Construction Services Intern II will learn to read structural plans and specifications and learn how to prepare daily construction inspection reports among other things.

Duration of this internship is anticipated to be from May thru August, 2017.

Job Requirements
Required Qualifications:

Current, active enrollment in an ABET-accredited institution pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a closely-related field. NOTE: This role is for students who are entering the Junior or Senior year of college. Those who have already graduated from an Undergraduate program are ineligible for this or any of our Intern II positions.
Completion of at least 2 years of relevant academic coursework.
A demonstrated interest in a related discipline (e.g. student organization involvement, relevant project experience).
Previous internship experience related to this role is a definite advantage!
The ability to work in a team environment
Working knowledge of/experience with Microsoft Office suite
Strong communication skills (oral and written)

No relocation or housing assistance will be provided. Considering local candidates only. The immediate ability to work in the United States immediately is required.
