Job Description


Learning & Development Corporate Intern

The Learning & Development Intern will have the opportunity to join a Corporate L&D team and to gain exposure to all aspects of the L&D process. The Intern will learn benefits surrounding employee development, core and non-core programs and gain exposure to the manufacturing industry. The L&D Intern will be a part-time position committing to 20 hours per week for a minimum 12 week period.


The L&D Intern will have the opportunity to participate in, and lead certain aspects of, the following:

Main project, Content Design and Development. Project requires intern to work with our HR Business Partners to design program using ADDIE model. Includes LMS and Web Design.

General support for Learning and Development Team

* Coordinate logistics of training events, including workshop logistics, communication with participants, and coordination of printed training materials
* Provide technical assistance, including working with Excel data and tables, collecting data through surveys, and work with our Learning Management System (LMS)

The intern will spend the remainder of their time receiving additional on-the-job experience and classroom learning. Classes will feature topics from general business etiquette, to resume writing, interviewing and presenting with confidence.

Desired Experience

* Web/Graphic Design Experience
* Must have own transportation
* Must be committed to working 20 hours per week
* Schedule to be set around any classes, and then maintained through the term.
* Strong organizational and planning skills
* Ability to self-start and deal with changing and ambiguous situations
* Must have advanced computer skills
* Must have proficient writing skills
* Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills +
