Job Description

Position Summary

The primary responsibility of the Kitting Attendant is maintaining the influx and outflow of the warehouse. The Attendant receives, stores and issues parts for the plant. The position also unloads and stores material in the proper locations and performs receiving transactions in a timely manner. This role issues material/parts to plant wide personnel and accurately performs system transactions while communicating potential supply problems to supervisor and purchasing for cost savings initiatives. A successful candidate is a self-motivated multi-tasker that utilizes a strong work ethic and communication skills to ensure all need levels are met.

 

Key Position Results

  • Timely, Safe and efficient completion of kitting attendant duties

  • Accurately maintain warehouse

  • Accurately and safely unloads and stores material

     

Key Duties & Responsibilities     

  • Issue material/parts to plant wide personnel and accurately perform system transactions.          

  • Dispense parts and supplies to employees.        

  • Review and receive purchase orders and follow up on status. May enter information into the computer system (MP2, Oracle).  

  • Send parts for repair and follow up on status.    

  • Communicate potential supply problems to manager and purchasing.   

  • Maintain log books for issuing of certain production components.           

  • Go on parts runs when needed.              

 

Critical Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Knowledge of inventory control

  • Working knowledge of PC and Windows operating system (trainable for Oracle)

  • Communication skills

  • Organization, attention to detail and accuracy

  • Self-starter

  • Excellent forklift/material handling skills

  • Basic math skills for verification of receipt quantities

 

Education / Training Required

  • 6 months of previous material handling experience or equivalent knowledge

  • Basic reading, writing and arithmetic

  • Standard safety training

  • Forklift license

  • Must have valid driver’s license

  • Required OSHA safety training
