SUMMARY:

The Application Business Analyst, in conjunction with the IT Relationship Managers and IT Solutions Leads, provides technical solutions that meets the user needs. This position is responsible for bridging the gap between technology and the future direction in supporting the end-users. Key position results for this role include but are not limited to accurate communication of business user needs and timetables; timely resolution of triaged issues; ensure IT is meeting business objectives - work is properly prioritized, planned, and executed though the maintenance, project, and break/fix cycles; and ensure quality of application changes and solutions. A successful candidate is a detailed oriented, problem solver with a desire to drive the business through a strong work ethic and understanding of the requirements and needs of the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Has in-depth knowledge of applications supported: Current functionality, planned functionality, pain-points, workarounds, impacts, timetables, etc.
- Manages the research, resolution, escalation and prioritization of business issues.
- Meets with business partners, RM's, and solution leads to understand current system needs, future goals and help to establish realistic timetables for completion.
- Facilitates/Executes efforts related to system changes (programming, testing, performing system set up, etc.).
- Develops necessary documentation associated with recommended business system changes.
- Meets with internal IT staff to communicate/educate the business' desired system changes.
- Other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS:
- Thorough knowledge of business solution(s) being supported
- Ability to work effectively with cross functional departments
- Strong understanding of business requirements and needs
- Detail and process oriented
- Ability to handle conflict, remain professional and analytical in stressful support situations
- Strong PC skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Flexible and adaptable to change
- Self-motivated and possesses the ability to complete tasks on time and with little supervision
- Technical writing skills
- Strong analytical capability and aptitude
- Very good problem solving skills
- Must have above average written, verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills

Education/Training Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent work experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience
