Software Engineers lead WorldQuant's efforts to automate the full financial investment to the greatest degree possible. Measures of system efficiency-such as response time, latency and throughput-are analyzed and optimized. Execution quality and portfolio liquidity are continuously evaluated. Ongoing development projects are undertaken to improve system performance and functionality. In every task, technologists are keenly process and automation-oriented as they seek to provide industry-leading technology for research, portfolio management and trading execution.

Job Responsibilities (include, but not limited to the following)

We are seeking exceptionally bright individuals who thrive on solving complex technology and business challenges.

As a Software Engineer at WorldQuant, you will join teams that:

* Develop software that enables WorldQuant to process vast amounts of information to inform investment decisions
* Develop state of the art distributed financial modeling systems and tools
* Develop software that enables fully-automated trading processes
* Develop tools and software for investment process automation and monitoring
* Work closely with portfolio management, middle office and research professionals to create custom-tailored, unique solutions that provide clear business value
* Support and monitor mission-critical technology functions and processes

Job Qualifications

* At minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field from a top school
* Exceptional programming skills
* Experience using multiple programming and scripting languages
* Strong analytical skills and painstaking attention to detail
* Demonstrated excellence in chosen field of study or profession
* Finance experience is not mandatory
* Be self-motivated and take initiative with minimal direction
* Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
