Overview

World Wildlife Fund (WWF), one of the world's leading conservation organization, seeks an Activism and Outreach Intern.

Responsibilities

Internship Description:

Major Function

This internship provides an opportunity for a college-level senior or recent graduate to play an active and substantial role in helping grow the WWF activism program. The intern will work directly with members of the Activism and Outreach team and help develop overall program strategy and communications. This position would offer self-starters who are driven by curiosity and creativity a space to do what they do best while growing themselves as well as the program.

We're looking for individuals passionate about conservation, wildlife, and communities with a history of effective leadership and an eagerness to learn.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

Help develop and execute strategic planning and day-to-day content development for WWF Activism and Outreach channels to promote current actions, advocacy updates, events, and more; Collaborate on crafting a holistic story experience in different digital spaces and communications channels; Provide ongoing research support for Activism & Outreach team on best practices and emergent technologies, tools, and strategies; Assist in preparing and analyzing reporting on a needed basis; Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Education/Experience: College-level senior or recent graduate

Skills and Abilities:

* Proactive problem-solving and creative critical thinking and analysis
* Strong interpersonal skills with a willingness and ability to work in a team environment, but also independently;
* Writing, editing, and proofreading skills guided by attention to detail;
* Experience building stories across multiple digital channels - social media (Instagram, Twitter), SMS, email;
* Comfortable with Microsoft tools (Word, Outlook, and Excel);
* Comfortable with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), and HTML/CSS;
* Demonstrates a history of leadership, initiative, and accountability for work.
