Job Description

Position Summary:

We are currently seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help the Store Manager lead one of our retail locations. The right individual for the job will harness their entrepreneurial spirit and use their leadership abilities to help manage all aspects of the store, including, but not limited to, P&L accountability, selling and customer service, and recruiting and training team members. * While Manager on Duty, protect company assets, minimize loss, and maintain safety by ensuring all store standards and operating procedures are executed
* Partner with the Store Manager to ensure store meets/exceeds sales goals and hold individuals accountable for achieving results
* Help the Store Manager maximize performance through consistent coaching and feedback using performance management processes
* Prepare team members for increased levels of responsibility
* Assist in actively networking with, interviewing, and on-boarding qualified talent
* Help the Store Manager train and motivate team through on-going sales programs and supplementary trainings
* Know how to operate and apply all policies and procedures to ensure store runs smoothly with minimum expense, maximum productivity, accurate cash and inventory control
* Help foster a collaborative environment where team members are encouraged to work together to achieve results
* Promote brands within community through local marketing strategies
* Deliver remarkable customer service and create strong product presentations while driving sales

The Right Stuff:

* Minimum of 2 years of retail supervisory experience
* An entrepreneurial spirit
* Comfort with technology
* Highly developed organizational skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work a variety of shifts, including opening and closing store as necessary
* Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time
* Ability to lift 50+ pounds and climb up/down 8 feet on a ladder
* Bilingual is preferred, but not required
* Passion for kitchenware, tableware and food is highly desirable
