Job Description

WNIT Public Television in South Bend, IN seeks an Individual Giving Associate. College degree preferred. Working knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel required. Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work assignments required. Additional knowledge with membership and fund raising related software is a plus. Previous customer service experience and experience in the television industry is desirable. Full description of qualifications and duties is below.

Position Summary

Provides administrative support for all individual giving related programs. Assists with all membership related activities and events. Serves as the station’s member services representative by responding to member inquiries and requests, as appropriate.

Responsibilities include:

  • Regularly maintain and update all member donor records to assure timely and accurate data.
  • Prepare individual giving reports as requested.
  • Prepare and post individual giving daily entries.
  • Assist Development Department Manager and Philanthropic Gifts Officer with organizing, coordination and preparation of regularly scheduled mailings.
  • Assist WNIT members with membership inquiries and followup.
  • Responsible for premiums data entry, and ordering and shipping premiums as needed.
  • Assist with planning, data entry, and implementation of on-air fund raising and all other individual giving related events.
  • Coordinate and schedule volunteers for on-air fundraising and all other individual giving related events.
  • Serve as department liaison with Programming and Content Department staff to coordinate creation and production of member related materials, web information, Planner bi-monthly guide, and on-air placements.
  • Provide membership research data as needed.
  • Provide front desk coverage as needed.
  • Perform other duties when assigned.

Skills and Experience: 1-2 years office background, non-profit preferred. Working knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office, Word and Excel. Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work assignments. Additional knowledge with membership and fund raising related software is a plus. Previous customer service experience preferred. High level of detail required in data entry tasks.

Education: High School diploma, General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent experience. College degree preferred.
