Our organization is seeking a highly skilled tax preparer and analyst who will have a key role in the finance and accounting team and will be responsible for preparing complex tax returns and recording the effect of income taxes in the financial statements.  This Tax Analyst position will be based at corporate headquarters in Tulsa, OK.



  • Gathering and analyzing information needed for income tax compliance and accounting for income taxes.
  • Preparing federal income tax returns.
  • Researching tax issues, as necessary.
  • Identifying tax issues and potential tax savings.
  • Completing income tax compliance with appropriate accuracy and timeliness.
  • Preparing, analyzing and/or recording tax entries needed for financial statements, including reconciling balance sheet accounts where tax entries are recorded.
  • Responding to notices and general inquiries.
  • Assisting in the response to audit inquiries.
  • Possibly reviewing tax returns and tax accounting entries prepared by others.

A Successful Candidate Will:

  • Have a Bachelor's degree with major in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or related field.
  • Have two to five years of experience preparing corporate/partnership income tax returns.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have knowledge of tax compliance and accounting practices.
  • Have the ability to thrive under pressure of deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


A Successful Candidate May:

  • Possess a Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation, preferred.
  • Be a CPA and/or experience in public accounting, preferred.
  • Have FERC regulatory tax compliance experience.                    


**This position will be filled commensurate with successful candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.

**Williams will not pay for relocation costs associated with this position.
