Summary and Purpose Statement  

Our Organization is seeking a highly skilled I&E Technician to be a part of our Wamsutter, Wyoming- Echo Springs gas processing plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following responsibilities:



  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to peers and Operation Technicians in the following areas:  Electrical Switchgears, Instrumentation, Measurement, Motor Controls, Control Loops, Distributive Control Systems, Allen Bradley PLCS, AC electrical systems and DC electrical systems.  
  • Coordinate and maintain routine activities with instrumentation controls and electrical systems
  • Utilize electronic tools which include Maximo to ensure the base line maintenance, reoccurring maintenance and condition based maintenance practices are consistently executed
  • Consistently demonstrate proficiency in teamwork, interpersonal, communication and mentoring skills.
  • Assure safe operations of facilities through the implementation of best practices and improved maintenance management
  • Ensure William’s System Integrity Plan (SIP) is implemented and consistently followed
  • Troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems on a variety of equipment including:  Electric Driven Motors, Centrifugal Pumps, Control Valves, Pressure Regulating Valves, and VFD’s
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems including:  Low and Medium Voltage, Protective Relaying and Switchgears, Motors, Motor Starters, and Generators
  • Accurately calibrate accounting quality flow measurement, and assist with all troubleshooting process equipment to return to the facilities full service capacity
  • Ability to change seals on pumps and perform routine pump maintenance including:  Vibration Analysis and Alignments


Minimum Qualifications

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent (An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered)
  • Have at least three (3) or more years’ related experience
  • Be willing to work and handle shift on-call, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Have experience with Distributed Control Systems, Troubleshooting, Maintenance and Control Programming, preferably with the Foxboro I/A Series System
  • Be willing to reside in Sinclair, Rawlins, Rock Springs or Baggs Wyoming.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Possess an Associate's or two-year technical school degree in mechanical, electronic, instrumentation or related field preferred
  • Previously worked with human to machine interface developed systems such as Allen Bradley PLC’s
  • Demonstrate experience with Programmable Logic, Controller Troubleshooting Maintenance, and Control Programming. The desired systems include:  Allen Bradley PLC-5, SLC 500, CLX 500, Omni Flow Computers, and Coriolis Meters
  • Worked with Low and Medium Voltage Switchgear Maintenance and Troubleshooting
  • Low and Medium Voltage Protective Relaying Maintenance, Troubleshooting, and Settings Design
  • Low and Medium Voltage Motor Starters, VFDs, and Soft Starter maintenance and troubleshooting
