The Regulatory Compliance Group is responsible for working with the business for the successful managing and monitoring of compliance with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) rules and regulations.  In addition, the Regulatory Compliance Group monitors the Company’s compliance risk regarding new IT technology as well as how access to that technology aligns with the Company’s identified information sharing protocols.  This position supports the overall FERC regulatory compliance program for Williams and subject to supervision, the Regulatory Compliance Analyst is responsible for supporting the management and monitoring of compliance with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) rules and regulations.  The analyst also monitors the Company’s compliance risk regarding new IT technology as well as how access to that technology aligns with the Company’s identified information sharing protocols.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support and coordinate the Company’s FERC compliance program with an emphasis on risk assessment and mitigation associated with emerging IT technology.
  • Assist in identifying areas of increased risk due to organizational changes and business development/divestiture activities to define and implement mitigation measures.
  • Work with IT Collaboration Team to create/review/update risk assessments for each new/combined/released technology.
  • Work with IT Unstructured Data Team to continue to mitigate company risk.
  • Coordinate regular review of system access by nonemployees.
  • Coordinate risk review associated with consolidation of servers of and move to virtual servers.
  • Help identify and coordinate with IT potential compliance issues associated with system access/removal associated with acquisitions and divestitures.
  • SME working with IT regarding maintenance and upgrades to Compliance Automated Tracking System (CATS).
  • Coordinate loading of certifications into CATS as well as system maintenance and upgrades.
  • Assist in the response of data requests for regulatory agencies by gathering, analyzing and culling data collection such as email.
  • Participate in discussion and development of positions on potential self-reporting issues.
  • Monitor FERC regulations, requirements, and industry trends pertaining to compliance.

Experience

Required:

  • Four (4) to Six (6) years of related experience.

Preferred

  • Working knowledge of regulated pipelines compliance
  • Experience working risk assessment of systems

Education & Certifications:

Required: Bachelor’s degree

Preferred:  Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP)
