The eCommerce Merchandise Manager's role is to execute online business initiatives and visual merchandising strategies to increase overall revenue and website conversion. The Manager will be responsible for analyzing the weekly businesses of the Textiles and Decorative Accessories divisions and maximize any opportunity to increase overall eCommerce sales. These businesses are key for new customer acquisition, and a strategic thinker and collaborative partner is required to work cross-functionally with our merchant team to strategize what is best for the DTC customer. This person will also be the key strategic merchandising liaison with Digital Design & Copy to help ensure cohesion for all outbound marketing across business divisions.

The ideal candidate will be extremely organized, with particular attention to detail since they will oversee a large number of skus. The ideal candidate will need to be a self-starter who can read their business and quickly formulate a plan of attack or pivot on an existing strategy without hesitation. The optimal candidate is a strong, vocal communicator who is fearless about jumping in and getting their hands dirty, but also able to help spearhead a project with passion and determination. This person will be a collaborative partner to a variety of cross-functional teams including buying, marketing, production and photo and will therefore need to be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. We're looking for someone who not only can manage people, but identify and execute on process improvements and help develop them. Background in the home industry would be highly valued, but proof of driving a high SKU count, fashion business is also a great asset.

Essential Functions:
* Manage the product within the Textiles and Decorative Accessories divisions for West Elm, Main.
* This role would have 2 direct reports, Associate Web Merchant for and Merchandise Coordinator.
* Work with the Buying and Planning teams to merchandise the website on a weekly basis.
* Focus on improving on-site customer shopping experience through a systematic and agile approach that supports ongoing identification of opportunities and reprioritizes work streams to move quickly towards proven (tested) customer-centric solutions.
* Analyze site metrics to connect web behavioral profiles to customer, sales, and merchandising data.
* Coordinate with Planning, Marketing and Creative teams to determine product placements for all outbound digital marketing.
* Work closely with Internet creative team and U/X to develop image, content, features, promos, and landing pages within website to drive sales.
* Oversee all photo shot lists for all new product launches and any reshoots.
* Participate in eCommerce photography and help ensure the photos meet the brand style guide.
* Participate in weekly site testing to ensure correct presentation and product data integrity.
* Work with web merch analysts to ensure that Product is set up accurately.
* Represent the DTC customer in key cross-functional product meetings and investment reviews.
* Keep abreast of market trends, consumer trends, competition, customer service issues, and eCommerce technology and dynamics.
* Perform and maintain competitive website analysis
* Will be the key merchandising liaison with Digital Design & Copy to oversee outbound marketing efforts across multiple product categories.
* Oversee on-site search and recommendations for designated categories.

* 5-6 yrs eCommerce Merchandising experience required.
* BA/BS required
* Advanced Excel skills required
* Strong people--development skills needed.
* Strong web analytics experience required.
* Experience using Adobe Site Catalyst highly-valued.
