Business Analyst I

About the Team

You will be part of the team responsible for efficient data management, intranet applications, and reporting for the Williams-Sonoma customer care centers. We support all aspects of the business including operations, finance, workforce management, and various back office departments using Microsoft SQL, ASP.NET, and SSRS.

About the Role

Design and develop back office web applications for Williams-Sonoma's supply chain, call center and hub locations. The right candidate will have a blend of technical skills as well as social since you will be presenting data to senior stakeholders on a regular basis.

* Design, plan, develop, and implement enhancements to intranet site for the improvement of overall productivity of the company.
* Prepare and update documentation for new or existing systems.
* Write and update software specifications.
* Monitor system effectiveness in satisfying user needs.
* Web Application development in C# and Microsoft SQL Server query generation.
* Document and implement software deployment procedures.
* Design, document, and communicate effective technical solutions meeting end-user requirements.
* Analyze, test, and apply changes to the application environment under the prevailing change management procedures and requirements. Simply put, you understand the "why" and how it impacts the business.
* Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

We're excited about you because...

* You have a Bachelor's degree in MIS, a related field or relevant work experience
* You have contact center experience
* Superior oral and written communication skills.

* Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment.
* Team player, positive attitude.

Technical Competencies required:

* 2+ years of software development using ASP.NET / C#
* Automation experience using scripts and custom code
* Experience in distribution center or contact center environments.
* At least 2 years of experience on SQL Server in database design, performance tuning, and production supports. Knowledge in database mirroring, SSRS, and SSIS are required.
