The imaging coordinator is subject matter expert in charge of tracking and overseeing the color process applied to catalog photo assets from shoot to final delivery. This role reports to the production manager and works closely with catalog production, catalog design, Ecomm production, Photo and merchants. The Imaging Coordinator is responsible for organizing photo assets on the Digital Asset Management system, retouch complex compositions (strip-ins, window scenes, ...) for catalog and special projects and assist the Ecomm team with marking up color, retouching and cutting silos. This person attends high level photo meetings to collect our executives' and key stakeholders' feedback and be the liaison with third party vendors to make sure assets are being worked properly.


Essential Functions:
* Oversee tracking of all catalog imagery from post shoot to final print.
* Work with Production Manager to markup color proofs and relay any information to color vendor.
* Retouch images for catalog as needed; specifically, complex comps, precise color corrections, window scenery amongst other special requests.
* Retouch product silos with a keen eye for detail; including creating paths, balancing to fabric standards and creating comps where needed.
* Retouch images for special projects and cross-brand collateral as needed for quick turn arounds/deadlines.
* Assist with color on Ecomm assets.
* Act as point person to color vendor for retouching rounds.
* Act as point person to our internal DAM for other west elm employees.
* Fulfill any requests for imagery either internal or from outside clients.
* Update and maintain digital guidelines and act as the point person to answer any questions photo teams may have.
* Go to photo sets as needed to assist with special projects that require a retoucher's perspective.
* Attend seasonal Press Oks.

* Must be a Photoshop pro.
* Working knowledge of print and digital color spaces and processes.
* 3 years or experience in an Imaging capacity (retoucher being preferred).
* Knowledge in Print Production and Pre-Press with experience in tracking high volume images
* Working knowledge of InDesign and Acrobat.
* Familiarity with production tools like project management platforms (basecamp, opal, ...)
* Familiarity with Data Asset Management systems.
* Knowledge of technical aspects of photography a plus.
* Knowledge of Illustrator, Premiere Pro and After Effects a plus.
