JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Regional Operations Manager maintains full operational responsibility for Pottery Barn Kids and Teen store locations. They must provide solid coaching, direction and resources to lead all operational functions to ensure stores meet Company standards and guidelines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* In partnership with the Regional Vice President and District Managers, ensure stores execute and sustain operational policies, objectives and standards.
* Prioritize, plan and effectively follow up to ensure stores meet operational goals. Hold team accountable to achieving goals.
* Provide training and guideance to managers through on-going communication and coaching.
* Maintain a safe work environment and ensure ongoing safety training and awareness.
* Manage store-operating policies and procedures i.e., inventory levels and cash control to minimize store losses and drive operational excellence.
* Monitor company assets through accurate inventory management procedures.
* Ensure store operational standards are met and maintained, i.e., stockroom organization, cleanliness, signage, safety, etc.
* Exemplify and ensure associates comply with all Company policies and procedures.
* Create and maintain an environment where all associates are treated fairly and with dignity and respect, in accordance with our People First Philosophy.

* Provide a high level of customer service to internal clients.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Must exhibit exceptional leadership skills and possess the following:

* 3-5 years operational management experience in a highly complex retail environment. Specialty and multi-unit retail experience preferred.
* Ability to think through complex issues and allocate time to execute multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

* Superior communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships at multiple levels in order to work cross functionally toward solutions.
* Proven ability to drive continuous improvement in productivity, cost control, service, inventory accuracy, process compliance, housekeeping and safety.

* Strong problem solving skills.
* Ability to lead, motivate, and influence others through actions and examples.
* Proven ability to achieve results both independently and through others by fostering a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.

*Proficient computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet software programs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

* Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business; will require weekends, evenings and some holidays.

*Ability to travel (overnight stays will be required.)

*Ability to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 75 lbs., while utilizing appropriate equipment.

EDUCATION:

Four-year college degree preferred but not required.
