JOB DESCRIPTION
This position provides project and administrative support to the HR team; Accountable for accurate processing and reporting of HR information and records; Promote the credibility and effectiveness of the HR team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Provide support to the Senior HR Generalist including document preparation and travel arrangements
* Provide general administrative support to the HR team including ordering supplies, photo copying, arranging meetings, etc.
* Maintains confidential files for the department
* Provide basic HR support including explaining HR policies, answering new hire questions, accurate and timely processing of associate status changes, assisting in the exit process of terminating employees; Recommends HR policy and process improvements
* Partner with Staffing Coordinators to schedule new hire orientation, remind hiring managers of new hire start dates and responsibilities, build orientation packets, coordinate new hire paperwork, and communicates new hire announcements; Facilitate new hire orientation on a regular basis
* Create, maintain and analyze reports for turnover, performance review tracking and annual pay review process; Conduct best practices research and analysis of current practices
* Provide logistics support for special occasions such as All-Hands meetings or brand events
* Monitor the department budget including monthly forecasting and invoice processing to ensure prompt payment
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience in Human Resources (or a strong interest to learn) preferred, but not required
* Strong organizational skills including the ability to work independently and to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to manage confidential information with the utmost discretion
* The tact and diplomacy required to work with a variety of people (associates, executives, job candidates) in situations that may be stressful and/or involve personal circumstances
* Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms including the ability to explain HR processes, policies and benefits
* Project management skills required to participate in or lead projects such as the annual Children?s Holiday Party or All-Hands meeting
* Ability to build and maintain productive and influential relationships required to be successful in a high-speed, cross-functional environment
* Financial acumen required to manage small budgets, set-up and manage spreadsheets, and track basic HR metrics such as turnover
* Capability to utilize technology tools including document preparation, spreadsheet development and maintenance, internet research, and WSI HR applications
