JOB DESCRIPTION

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is looking for an experienced Display Media Manager to develop the open web display strategy for prospecting and external vendor managed retargeting campaigns across its 7 Brands. This Manager will lead the vetting, development and implementation of new and current strategies and publisher discovery to drive revenue and new customer growth and maximize return on spend. The Manager will oversee allocation of budgets by partner including revenue & spend forecasts, provide analysis and insights to measure and improve program effectiveness and drive incremental sales. Candidate will take a leadership role in WSI cross-brand eMarketing initiatives and ensure the Brands' lifestyles, aesthetics and initiatives are supported via online display. Candidates must have expertise with display media planning and buying processes as well as using first party data for targeting. Experience working with direct response advertisers preferred. Additionally, the role will oversee the performance and career development of a team of Analysts.

Responsibilities:

* Lead team on quarterly and special campaign media plan development across all 7 WSI Brands and International. Allocate multimillion dollar budgets across different publishers, negotiating rates, and ensuring maximizing eComm and Retail revenue while balancing awareness/ top of the funnel KPIs
* Determine partner capabilities by developing thorough and campaign specific RFI's
* Contact/meet with vendors regularly and lead media negotiations to ensure campaigns are performing as expected/ w/in target ROI goals
* Identify opportunities for new tactics/improved ROI and forecast investment and return and work directly with Customer Relationship Management team to fund
* Vet new campaign ideas. collaborating with internal Brand eCommerce partners, and align Brand vision with media plan
* Negotiate PMP placements to ensure high quality inventory and contextually relevant sites
* Partner with internal Display Ad Operations Team on day-to-day management of campaigns with focus on implementation and execution of all online advertising campaign elements in a timely and accurate manner
* Partner with internal Programmatic team on campaign goals, optimization strategies, and budget allocation between in-house and externally managed campaigns
* Keep up-to-date with industry trends and be a subject matter expert on online display marketing
* Collaborate with Ad Operations team to ensure accurate campaign knowledge pre-launch
* Determine KPI goals by campaign and work with partners to ensure expectations are met
* Work with marketing partners to closely manage budgets and forecast revenue & spend
* Conduct reporting and analysis to identify key business drivers and opportunities for improvement
* Assist with providing business teams with regular updates on performance, strategies, and recommendations
* Liaise with brand and creative teams to ensure programs are updated seasonally and on-time
* Support the team with weekly & monthly reporting, ad hoc analyses
* Manage monthly invoices and accrual processes across display
* Facilitate creative trafficking E.g. Develop/maintain procedures for ad creative trafficking between Brand creative teams and the ad operations team to ensure banners are updated seasonally and on-time
* Collaborate with Analytics and Database Teams to leverage customer segments for specialized targeting and on advanced attribution reporting
* Educate Brand partners on best practices, platform and process changes, and new strategies
* Create presentations on performance, strategy and industry updates and share with various levels of WSI organization
* Manage the career objectives and work of 2 Marketing Analysts

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

* 5+ years of experience in display media planning with a focus on direct response
* Strong analytics expertise and background in digital analytics and/or audience data management.
* Ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations and communicate outcomes
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to synthesize technical detail and communicate to all levels across the organization
* Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, sumifs, etc.)
* Leadership and innovation
* Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work in an adaptive, fast-paced environment
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
* Prior people management experience
